Postpartum Doula, Abortion & Miscarriage Companion

Starting at a very young age, Bee loved caring for the many babies and children within her large family. She started supporting Chicago families as a nanny in 2009 and became inspired to further empower families after her own very challenging birth and postpartum experience with her daughter in 2011. As a young, new parent what she truly needed was unbiased, realistic and up-to-date information, guidance, resources and understanding companionship. She found that all of these things were quite hard to come by during such a profound and vulnerable life transition. Luckily, many years later, a fellow mom friend told her about the role of a postpartum doula - she knew this was exactly what she had been waiting for.

Bee’s unique understanding of the many challenges families can face makes her an empathetic, non-judgmental, calm and attentive postpartum doula. In addition to offering postpartum support, Bee also provides companion care and/or resources for those experiencing miscarriage or seeking an abortion. Bee firmly believes in supporting all pregnancy choices and outcomes and that postpartum is forever!

Bee is sex & body positive, LGBTQ+ affirming, passionate about reproductive justice and strives to be anti-racist. She is a queer, single mother living in Chicago and in her free time she enjoys spending quality time with her daughter and their rescue dog, being outdoors, getting together with friends and practicing many forms of self-care.
